History
The Vermont Municipal Clerk's Association was established November 6, 1935 at 10:00 am in the
City Hall Auditorium of Burlington, VT.
The Officers were elected to serve one year, and the membership fee was only $1.00!
How times have changed. Treasurer's were voted into the Association during the 10th meeting
June 3, 1947, and our membership fee is now $25.00. Our current membership is a staggering
570 people!
We meet annually, the third Monday in September, in various locations throughout the state.
We are the hub of local government.
