Membership Committee
Purpose:
To solicit Active members from the Vermont City, Town and Village Clerks and Treasurers to become members of the VMCTA Association.
Members:
The committee is represented by 5 members who are appointed by the President.
General Duties:

To maintain, or increase, the number of members of the Association.

To maintain, update and have published the Annual Membership Directory, listing all active, retired and associate members.

To develop a membership page on the website for the promotion of the Association and to encourage membership.
Timelines:

July/Early August: Prepare and have distributed a brochure to all Clerks and Treasurers by sending an e-mail through either the VMCTA or Muninet list serve.

Late September: Membership reminders will be sent out to all non-registered Vermont City, Town and Village Clerks and Treasurers.

October 1: The first day of the new membership year.

Late October: Last notice to non-registered Vermont City, Town and Village Clerks and Treasurers just prior to removing them from the VMCTA listserv.

December 1: VMCTA listserv will be updated and non-registered Vermont City, Town and Village Clerks and Treasurers will be removed from the listserv.
